KEEPING IT REAL BLACK & FLY WHILE YOU PLAN TO TAKE DOWN THE MAN

So, I woke up today with many of the same feelings I live with from a day to day, week to week, and month to month basis. Sad, angered, confused, and unapologetically black. I am a black woman in America. This land is not my land nor was it made for you and me. My mother and I awoke to yet another tragedy. Watched it, sat in silence, and cried.

Diamond Reynolds live streamed on Facebook the madness that was occurring in real time. Her boyfriend Philando Castile was gunned down by police for no reason at all except for the simple fact that he was black. He died on camera for the world to see. This of course is right after the recent shooting in NOLA of Alton Sterling just before a possible lynching that occurred in Atlanta.

I am not surprised. I am instead feeling more BLACK and more proud to be BLACK than ever before. This revolution will in fact be televised, tweeted, instagramed, livestreamed, and snap chatted intill there is truly justice and after that too.
